PRAGELATO VILLAGE RESORT
Covering an area of 7 hectares at an altitude of 1600 metres, Pragelato Village Resort & Spa is a luxury 5 star hotel in which 120 are Executive Suites and 3 Luxury suites.
Pragelato is a small village next to Val Troncea National Park in Italy’s northwestern Piedmont region. The settlement has more than 20 surrounding hamlets and is 60km (37 miles) west of Turin, close to the French border.
The Hotel was constructed and opened for the 2006 winter Olympics, accommodation and consisted of 185 apartments, 30 suites and 3 Presidential suites. The facilities included 3 restaurants, and extensive bar, and a taverna with its own wine cellar and Berkel, as well an outstanding Spa with Gymnasium. There was also a private cinema for 48 guests, a lounge and exterior bar and sun deck.
Our experience of living, working and designing in the Val Susa Mountains for just over 18 months is still a life changing memory - and thanks to all the team there!

The resort is connected to the larger skiing area of Sestriere by its own cable car. The Hotel was immediately listed as a leading hotel of the world and was operated with owner management originally, it is now managed by club med.
THDP completed the interiors for the entire resort, designing many custom pieces of furniture, lighting and accessories to compliment the idyllic Italian mountain resort.
GUEST SUITES
RESTAURANTS & BARS
Four restaurants and one bar were created at the hotel, all with charming Pidemonte detailing with accents of stone, wood carving and found objects, the interiors are authentic with local detailing and with a real sense of sense of heritage.
GUEST LUXURY CHALETS
The three luxury chalet suites have a large lounge with desk and plentiful soft seating around a open fire place in natural local stone. Detailing such as lighting, desks and other furnishings were specifically designed by THDP for the location. Light fittings are by objet insolite. Furniture was manufactured by Concreta Srl who carried out the installation too. Bathrooms were supplied by Kos with taps by Zucchetti and tiling by Florim Ceramiche.
SPA
The Spa is over 800 sq meters and consists of a main pool with massage jets, sprays and lap area. There are 6 treatment rooms, kniepp foot massage, emotional shower, sauna & Hammam Steam Room and a comprehensive gym with Technogym equipment
The Hotel is now owned and managed by Club Med - as a consequence changes have since been made to the interiors.
