THDP was founded by partners Architect Manuela Mannino & Interior Designer Nicholas J. Hickson in 2005 - together they have over 50 years of experience. In 2022 Manuela created the studio in Milan, in 2025 they opened a new studio in Turin.

Together the THDP studio in London, Milan and Turin oversee pioneering projects throughout Europe.

THDP’s creative team has been hand-chosen and works comfortably in the demanding discipline of hospitality design.

Manuela Mannino (arch) - Milan

Founder, Architect & Creative Director - Studio Milan

RIBA OAT - Italian Architect, who graduated from the Turin Polytechnic in 1993. She has led key projects in product design, interior refurbishments, and conversions for private clients.

Focused in London from 2000 on residential development projects Riverside Quarter and Albion Riverside and designing the interiors for the contract design company CP Hart.

Manuela brings her contemporary eclectic approach to our projects, combining her skills in concept building design, and taking care of the aesthetic link between architectural function and decorative detailing.

Nicholas j Hickson (BA Hons) - London

Founder & Technical Director - Studio London

Nick is British furniture, lighting, and interior designer for more than 34 years.

He has worked with high-end interior residential and commercial projects for international clients and developers in exclusive areas of London and worldwide.

He has extensive experience with hotel interior architecture, schematic planning, FF&E selection & custom design, and procurement strategies.

He has a contemporary approach to traditional manufacturing and combined with his attention to detail, he delivers inspirational award-winning interiors and furnishings.
